DemocracyOS connects you with your city’s leaders, allowing you to express your needs and ideas through simple, quick miniballots delivered via text message. Our system then helps make sense of all these responses, helping city leaders make smarter, more informed decisions while ensuring your voice is truly heard.
Here's how it works:
First, you Register to Engage
City residents Register to Engage through DemocracyOS. This is a simple sign up form, where you provide contact information, as well as demographic information.

Then you'll receive Miniballots to respond to
You’ll start receiving text messages with various survey links. We aim for 1-3 a month. These could be for your input on a particular city issue, or a general inquiry about what’s on your mind or ideas you may have.

Finally, we tell you how your input is having an impact.
After the survey window closes, we prepare a report summarizing the results. We always let you know who is reading the report, and when. We aim for a principle of Total Representation: meaning that the message of every piece of input is reflected in the report — so that your voice, and all of your neighbors voices, truly have an impact.
